The Messy Part of my Studio!

Okay, yesterday I showed you the great part of my studio. Now for the work yet to be done!

This is on the opposite side of my desk...still more to do here!

This is the window end of my room. It looks worse that it is...at least that is what I am telling myself! lol!

Lots more work to be done...maybe later next week!

This weekend we are enjoying the company of our 2 grandchildren...they are so wonderful to have around! I will be back by Wednesday with a card or two for the next class on March 12th or 13th.

Be back soon,
Chris

I'm still here!

Hey! Sorry I haven't posted since Monday...time just flies!

I haven't been idle! I worked really hard on Wednesday and Thursday in my craft room...just cleaning up and sorting out my older items. I have lots of space I just don't have everything organized so I can find what I need!

I have lots of pieces from kits like paper, ribbons, stamps, and envelopes. I want to put everything in organized containers so I can used these parts up to make cards for donations. I'm getting there!

So here are a few pictures showing how neat everything looks...

Lewis said this is the cleanest my table has ever been! lol!

All my paper is really organized and I love these shelving units!

These are all stamp sets in these boxes. They are in alpha order...so easy to find what I want. (My granddaughter, Maddie, told me, a few years ago, that I needed to put them in alphabet order and she helped me do it.) Once it is done, it is easy to maintain, and makes my crafting so much more convenient!

Check back tomorrow for the parts of my studio that still need work!!!

Special thanks to the gals who braved the cold last night to come to my card class! I had lots of fun!

Be back tomorrow,
Chris

February's Paper Pumpkin Kit - Part 2

*****THE 3 MONTH PAPER PUMPKIN SUBSCRIPTION IS ON SALE FOR $68.85 UNTIL MARCH 31/15*****

Here are the photos of the rest of this month's kit...

Isn't this a cute box? I could have stamped one of the background designs on the Kraft box but I liked it just the way it was...plain and understated!

This could be mailed but it would have to be put in a bubble envelope. I think it is such a great idea that anyone would be excited to get this, instead of a regular Thank You card! Or how fun would it be to just pop these in your neighbours' mailboxes with a note from you on the last page. There is always something to be thankful for!

I will be back in a couple of days with a new card to show you.

See you soon,
Chris

February's Paper Pumpkin Kit - Part 1

*****THE 3 MONTH PAPER PUMPKIN SUBSCRIPTION IS ON SALE FOR $68.85 UNTIL MARCH 31/15*****

I don't know how much I have said about Stampin' up!'s Paper Pumpkin monthly kits. I love these kits as I never know what the month's kit will be, but it is always awesome!!!

This program is a subscription service. One needs to subscribe and decide to pay monthly (charged to your credit card) or to pay in advance for one of 3 months, 6 months, or 12 month periods. The cost is  only CDN$24.95 per month (FedEx shipping included) plus GST. If you are interested in a Paper Pumpkin subscription, please contact me for help setting you up! Or go to www.stampinup.com/paperpumpkin ...I would love if you chose me as your demonstrator if you live in Canada.

This month's kit is too cute...I love it! The supplies this month make 8 Thank You notes and 8 Kraft boxes. Everything is cut and scored, ready to start crafting!

Here are some photos of the card part...

Tomorrow I will show you the Kraft box and how this card looks folded to go into the box.

(An important point is that the stamps included in these kits are exclusive to the kits...they are not available anywhere else through Stampin' Up!  To me, that is so great! Also as a subscriber, you can buy refill kits when they are available. I do that quite often!)

Be back tomorrow with the second part of this kit,
Chris

The Get Well Card for next Thursday's class

Hi everyone! How are you all managing with this deep freeze? My answer is to stay at home! Luckily my husband can brave the cold and get groceries, etc. At least the sun is out! I get much more accomplished on sunny days than on dreary, cloudy days. Speaking of getting this done, I have the third card designed for next week's class.

I hope you like it... I think it's cute!

The stamps are not from Stampin' Up! (just some from my stash) but everything else is. This includes our new Chalkboard paper and Yellow Citris Chalk ink. This is the first time I have played with it and it is a great effect.

I need to spend a couple of days now prepping the kits for this class so I will return by Sunday with something new for you!

Be back soon,
Chris

Second Card for Feb. 26th Class

Hope you are all staying warm! Wouldn't it be nice to have "normal" temperatures of -2C!

I have the second card to show you. It is a very easy and cool technique called 'bokeh'. It has come from photography where the background is fuzzy while the foreground has a focused image. It is fun to create it with ink and sponges!

Here is the card...

I love this card...hope you do too!

I will have the 3rd card for you tomorrow if all goes well with the design!

Be back soon,
Chris

First Card for February 26th Class

First I would like to say that I will be holding the next class only on the Thursday evening. Our grandkids are coming for the weekend and we don't get to see them much during the school year so I want to spend as much time as possible with them!

Please let me know if you want to come to that class, if you haven't already. I have lots of room available for the class!

Here is the first card, a Thinking of You. You can choose to use the verse inside or leave it blank to write your own message!

And the inside...

The photos don't do this card justice...it is so pretty in person!

Be back soon with more cards,
Chris

The Other 2 Cards in the Kit!

Here are the other 2 cards from yesterday's kit...Hooray It's Your Day.

On the second card, I used an old Stampin' Up! Stamp, not the one that is recommended in the kit. The stamp that is used in the kit says 'Look who's turning...'. I didn't have anyone to give this to so I don't know what age to put on the card!

I will be back in a couple of days with cards for the next classes.

Cards from "Hooray It's Your Day" Kit

Hi!

My gosh, it's nasty outside! Looks like we got a couple of inches more snow overnight and the trees out my window are been blown around like crazy! So glad I'm staying in today!

Today I have two cards from the above kit. I love kits as all I need to add are stamps, ink, and adhesives. The kits make up quite quickly. This kit is all about birthdays. I substituted a few stamps as I am donating these cards so I can't make them age specific!

First one...

And the second one for today...

I will have the other two cards for you tomorrow. If you wish to purchase any of these products, just click on the item below and it will take you to my online store!

Be back soon,
Chris

Valentine Card Number 4

Sorry, I am having problems getting the photo to appear. I have tried my computer and my iPad. I will try again tomorrow to re-post this card. Sometimes just waiting a day works! Kind of like we used to bang on the TV to get better reception! lol! I really am dating myself, right?

Hi! This is the last Valentine I made! I love this one...hope you do, too.

Check back soon as I have more cards and 3D projects to show you.

Be back soon,
Chris
