Hi! Sorry I haven’t posted for a bit but I’ve been working on preparing this month’s kits. They are ready for pick up anytime, just let me know! I have lots of kits so if you want more than one that is awesome. Each set is 2 cards of the following 4 designs for $25 and PDF instructions emailed to you.
Thanks,
Chris
Hi! Today’s card is one I made for a sketch challenge. There are lots of places to find card sketches but I like Freshly Made Sketches. This was made for their sketch 496. I use their sketches for many of my cards so I am not always copying other cards that I find online.
If you want to look at their sketches, just search Freshly Made Sketches and you can go back to their first one! Crafters make cards and post them each week. It’s fun to see what others do. Not everyone uses all SU products as it is not related to Stampin’ Up!.
Here is the card…
Be back soon,
Chris
Hi! I made this cute card for my BIL whose birthday is the same as my granddaughter’s. She was born on his 50th birthday! So cool as he hadn’t know anyone else to have his same birthdate.
I cut the golf clubs on my Silhouette Cameo but all the rest is SU dies and Embossing folder.
Thanks,
Chris
Hi! Since my upline, Alicia Ryckman, has started stamping again, we have done 2 swaps. Whoever wants to, can join the other demos. We each make 10 of the same card. Then Alicia sorts them so we each get 10 cards back to display or use. This was my swap card from July. I’ll see if I can find a photo of June’s card. August will be a Fall or Thanksgiving card. (We complete the inside, too, but I forgot to take a photo!)
Cardstock…Basic Black, Basic White
Stamps…Bamboo Beauty, Watercolour Shapes
Ink…Real Red, Memento Black, Garden Green
Dies…Circles, Stitched Rectangles
Accessories…Matte Black Dots
Be back soon,
Chris
Back with another card today! This is a variation of a card by US demo, Mary Fish. I love using DSP this way as it goes a lot further.
All orders and shares from beginning of August will be here and ready for pick up by Friday, August 13 or after. I will email all of you who have pick ups to make.
Also this month’s cards will be 2 each of the following…2 different Sympathy cards, 1 Female Birthday, and 1 Male Birthday. I will make sure you have enough Christmas cards by mid-November, with 3 sets of cards…one in mid September, one just after Thanksgiving, and one in early November. I will also do tags for later in November.
I’ll be back tomorrow!
On to the card…
I’ve always wanted to try this technique. It is made with with many shapes especially circles but I thought triangles would be easiest to start with. The triangle sets are made exactly the same.
Stamps…Shaded Summer (there are dies for free in Saleabration to match this set)
Dies…Stitched Triangles
Card stock…Night of Navy, Pacific Point, Balmy Blue, stripe DSP from You’re a Peach, Basic White, Vellum
Embossing Folder…Bark
Ink…Night of Navy
Clear Dots…Silver and Clear Epoxy Essentials
Punch for Flag Ends of Greeting…Banners Pick a Punch
Thanks for stopping by!
Chris
I saw a version of this card using a stamp set from the January - June catalogue that I hadn’t purchased. I had this stamp set from another company from many years ago which I had bought to make Christmas cards for my family. My parents had a mini Dachshund and in memory of her, I thought this set was adorable. My Dad had a huge sense of humour and named their tiny dog, Lassie!
